Position: Family Counselors – 2 positions

Program: Anchorage Family Counseling

Location: One in Chipley, Florida; and one in Panama City

Description: The focus of this position is to provide individual, family and group counseling to adolescents age 6 to 17 years, and their families. Client contact will be established in a variety of settings including, but not limited to, the home, school, office and residential youth shelter.

Education/Experience: Bachelor degree in counseling or social work or related fields, plus relevant experience or a Master and experience in related fields. Valid Florida driver license required.

Position: Street Outreach Specialist

Program: Street Outreach & Recovery

Location: Panama City, Florida

Description: This is a full-time position that involves locating, rapport building, and assisting homeless and runaway youth and families in the local area. The position also serves as liaison between Anchorage Children’s Home and Safe Place sites in the community. Applicants must have the ability to work flexible hours including weekends when required. Candidates selected may be required to public presentations and direct business contacts on behalf of the National Safe Place initiative. This is a grant funded position for a one year term.

Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED required, experience working with youth preferred; must possess a valid driver license.

Position: Youth Specialist, Part-Time

Program: Hidle House

Location: Panama City, Florida

Description: The focus of these positions is to provide motivation, leadership, structure, and day-to-day supervision and development to the adolescent youth in shelter. The Youth Specialist supervises resident youth in a 24-hour awake program and works closely with the Residential Counselors, who are responsible for clinical services provided in the shelter. Candidates hired must be able to work shifts.

Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED required. Prefer applicants to have a year’s experience working with adolescents or children.
