Position: Assistant Shelter Manager for Hidle House

Description: This position provides direct supervision to assigned Youth Specialists; and works in concert with Case Managers and other clinical and administrative staff to insure direct supervision of and trauma informed care for shelter residents aged 10 - 17. This position is regularly scheduled to work from Noon until 8 p.m., and is required to respond to call-in responsibilities in rotation with other shelter management. The Assistant Shelter Manager is directly responsible to the Shelter Manager.

Education/Experience: A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is strongly preferred; however candidates with other Bachelor’s degrees or with related Associate’s degrees and at least two years of supervisory experience may be considered.

Typical duties include:
1. Conduct interviews, select, hire and train new Youth Specialists to ensure the safe supervision and positive role modeling for youth in the program under the direct supervision of the Shelter Manager.
2. Act as the task supervisor of all assigned volunteers to ensure a single point of contact with volunteers for the program while coordinating with the Development Director and Shelter Manager.
3. Delegate shift and shelter related responsibilities to youth specialists to provide an organized approach to accomplishing the work.
4. Ensure staff adheres to agency policies and procedures and provide support and clarity when needed.
5. Ensure admission and departure procedures are completed according to checklist guidelines.
6. Ensure transportation is provided to youth who have appointments outside the shelter by ensuring that adequate staffing coverage is available.
7. Ensure shelters maintain a clean, safe shelter facility and healthy environment.
8. Use established documents such as Performance Observation Statements, Memos, Shift Duty Assignment Sheet, etc. to encourage outstanding performance and improve services.

Position: Care Manager Program: Care Management Location: Chipley, Florida

Description: This is a professional position serving, protecting, and strengthening children and their families who are at risk or have actually experienced abuse, neglect, and/or abandonment. This position works with children and families to conduct assessments, develop appropriate case plans, referrals to specific services, collect and submit documentation necessary for court work, monitor progress toward permanency and identified goals, as well as other duties necessary to ensure the safety and well being of children receiving services. Annual salary $33,000.00 - $35,000.00

Education/Experience: A Bachelors degree from an accredited college in social work, counseling, psychology, criminal justice, or related human services field is required. Two (2) years direct experience working with children and families preferred. An unrelated Bachelors degree with three (3) years experience working with children and families will be considered.

A passing score on basic skills Introduction to Child Protection Written Assessment must be attained.

Position: Stop Now and Plan (S.N.A.P.) Facilitator

Compensation: $11.20 per hour, benefits eligible

Location: Panama City

Description: This position provides facilitation and logistical support for the SNAP group counseling and training program designed to provide parents and pre-teens with positive and effective decision making skills to help at-risk children maintain successful school attendance and performance while avoiding situations that could result in contact with the juvenile justice system. The program conducts semester long programs for students and parents after school and in the early evenings.

Education/Experience: A high school diploma is required and paid SNAP specific training will be provided. Additional college degree and/or coursework in a human services field and/or experience with presentations in front of small groups is very desirable.

Position: Youth Specialists

Program: Hidle House

Location: 2121 Lisenby Ave. Panama City, FL 32405

Compensation: $11.20 per hour, benefits eligible

Description: The focus of these positions is to provide motivation, leadership, structure, and day-to-day supervision and development to the adolescent youth in shelter. The Youth Specialist supervises resident youth in a 24-hour awake program and works closely with the Residential Counselors, who are responsible for clinical services provided in the shelter. Candidates hired must be able to work shifts. Successful applicants must be 18 years of age or older and possess a valid driver license with a clean driving record.
Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED required with a year’s experience working with adolescents or children; must have valid driver license.

Position: Residential Case Manager

Program: Hidle House

Location: 2121 Lisenby Ave. Panama City, FL 32405

Description: The Residential Case Manager works directly with adolescents and their families in a residential setting using individual, group, and family counseling skills. Use of behavioral management techniques is necessary for this position. The Residential Case Manager is required to participate in the on-call rotation and must have home phone to be reached as the need may arise.

Education/Experience: Bachelors degree in counseling, social work, or a related field, plus relevant experience. Or a Master’s degree and experience in related field.

Selected candidate must pass background screen.

Position: Resident Advisor

Program: The Bridge: Transitional Living

Location: Panama City Beach

Salary: $11.20 per hour

Description: Seeking caring, flexible mentors for youth ages 16-21 who reside in a transitional living clustered apartment setting. Position provides supervision, recreation, basic life skills training and transportation for youth. Shifts include week day hours, weekend hours and requires flexibility. This is a full time position with benefits.

Education/Experience: Position Requires a High School Diploma or GED, 2 years experience working with youth and valid Florida Driver’s License with a clean driving record. Successful candidates must be able to pass a background screening and drug test.

Location: Panama City, Florida

Position: Part-time House Parent

Program: Sibling Group Home

Location: Panama City Beach, FL

Description: Provide direct support and guidance to children in sibling groups between the ages of 6 – 12 years of age in an 8 bed group home setting. This position requires some flexibility in schedules and may work up to 30 hours per week.

Education/Experience: High School diploma or GED required with a year’s experience working adolescents and/or children. Must have a valid Florida Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
