Anchorage Children's Home

Hannah's Maternity Transitional Living

A voluntary 18 month apartment based transitional living program for homeless pregnant and/or parenting young mothers ages 16-22. This program, like The Bridge, provides a safe place while focusing on life skills, education, employment, nutrition, prenatal care and parenting skills. The duration of the program allows mothers to potentially spend their entire pregnancy plus the first few critical months of their new baby’s life. Hannah’s Maternity provides the necessary tools and resources that are essential to any parent such as daycare providers, pediatricians, Healthy Start Programs, etc. Eligible youth have opportunities to enroll in secondary educational programs at Haney Technical College through an established endowment allocated to Hannah’s Maternity Transitional.
