Anchorage Children's Home

Hidle House

An emergency 20 bed shelter for abused, abandoned, and neglected children ages 10-17 who are removed from their homes by the Dept of Children & Families and have no safe place to go. Hidle also provides services for runaways and homeless youth of the same age. Hidle provides a safe and loving place for youth until they are placed with a relative or a foster home. Hidle also offers a 21-day residential intervention program allowing a “timeout” period to work closely with youth and their families to help resolve family issues before the child becomes delinquent or there is an abuse allegation.
